PK 165.002 TEC 7 – a new generation of cranes

As an innovator and market leader, PALFINGER has introduced a new generation of cranes—the PK 165.002 TEC 7. This model is designed for vehicles with a maximum permissible weight of 32 tons and pushes the boundaries in terms of weight and performance.

More power with less weight

The PK 165.002 TEC 7 combines exceptional power with extended reach and is one ton lighter than its predecessor, the PK 150.002. With a lifting moment of 125 t/m, the new crane offers up to 15% higher capacity compared to its predecessor. The load capacity on the fly-jib has been increased by more than 20%, enabling lifting of heavy loads up to 8.2 tons (compared to the previous 6.5 tons). In combination with the PJ 240 extension, it reaches a height of 35 meters, and with the PJ 300L, up to 40 meters.

Power Link Plus for demanding conditions

Specialized for heavy loads, the PK 165.002 TEC 7 demonstrates its advantages even in complex working conditions. Thanks to the Power Link Plus function, the auxiliary boom can extend at a negative angle of 15°, which is crucial when lifting loads through narrow openings or operating in confined spaces.

Innovative solutions and reliability

PALFINGER has paid special attention to modern and functional design. All sensors, hydraulics, and electronics are positioned for maximum protection against mechanical damage and environmental exposure. The use of special sliding elements made of synthetic materials, combined with a KTL protective coating, allows the boom system to operate without additional maintenance—saving both time and money.

Availability

The new PK 165.002 TEC 7 crane will be available from the third quarter of 2015, introducing a new benchmark in the heavy-duty crane segment.
