PALFINGER customers face complex handling tasks every day, combining the longer outreach of previous TEC models with maximum lifting capacity. Inspired by these challenges, PALFINGER developed a new range of TEC cranes, based on the experience it has gained as a market leader for more than 90 years. In addition to an “attractive” appearance, the new innovative TEC crane range delivers impressive precision, making the new PALFINGER crane range smarter, more powerful and, above all, faster in operation. An incredible 9 new models have been introduced in the new range!
Why is the TEC range so brilliant?
PALTRONIC 180
The TEC crane range is equipped with PALTRONIC 180 control electronics. The new control electronics offer smarter, more efficient and simpler operation through three key functions:
- Leveling Assistant – the leveling assistant supports operators in the truck leveling process before work; the process is semi-automatic and controlled via a single command.
- Smart Control – “smart” control is a system that makes crane operation easier for the operator by enabling control with just one joystick.
- Memory Position – position memory enables saving 4 crane positions in space, which can be reached using two control commands.
In addition, PALTRONIC 180 offers additional systems for comfortable and efficient crane operation:
- The P-Fold system enables folding the crane into the transport position and the working position with a single command on the remote control.
- The Rope Tension Control (RTS) system ensures that rope tension is automatically adjusted as the crane boom moves.
- The Synchronised Rope Control (SRC) system maintains a constant distance between the crane boom and the hook during boom movement.
- The DPS-Plus & DPS-C system provides additional lifting power for the fly jib in all crane positions.
- The HPSC-Plus LOAD system recalculates maximum outreach taking into account the load on the truck; it optimizes crane operation by considering the load and the outrigger extension.
- HPSC-Plus GEOM enables accurate calculation of the center of gravity, taking into account the length of the extended extensions, as the extensions have sensors that measure their extension length. Accordingly, the PALFINGER crane calculates the optimal load chart.
- The AOS anti-oscillation system reduces load sway during sudden changes of direction.
- SOFT STOP ensures gradual braking of crane movement before the final stop.
- The MEXT system ensures that mechanical extensions are detected by the crane sensors so they are integrated into the overload protection system.
- The MFAJ function allows the use of the MFA mechanical extension for the jib (hydraulic extension) within the overload protection system.
- The WEIGH function enables load weighing and displays the weighed load on the PALCom P7 remote control screen.
LX-6 CONTROL VALVE
The increased sensitivity of the new PALFINGER TEC cranes is made possible by the LX-6 control valves, in combination with the specially developed PALcom P7 remote control.
PALCOM P7
The PALcom P7 radio control is an ergonomic, anti-stress remote control that also provides a wide range of innovative support systems. The “PALdrive” rotary wheel on the remote ensures quick access to the main menu, with a clear color display that enables simple and safe operation of the PALFINGER crane.
P-PROFILE
The common signature of all PALFINGER TEC range cranes is the P-profile boom. The P-profile design solution makes the cranes significantly lighter. This, of course, means more payload. The cranes are more stable and enable the operator to work more precisely. In addition to all of the above, the P-profile has significantly lower maintenance costs.
NEW TEC DESIGN – ELEGANT AND FUNCTIONAL
The new TEC crane design stands out visually not only for the P-profile but also for its distinctive elegance. The new models are specially adorned with a high-quality PALFINGER logo integrated into the grey shade on the main crane boom. All other logos are applied in a subtle white color.
