Interview with Josef Leitner and Stefan Kopp

The slogan of the new GENERATION 3 is: “Experience and technology – now we bring them together.”

Josef Leitner – the voice of customers:
“Experience means learning. It is an ongoing process in which proven solutions are refined and new ideas are tested. It is important to learn from mistakes as well – to recognize them and acknowledge them. When you gain experience, you build knowledge and grow. All of this can be seen and felt in the new GENERATION 3.”

On the influence of customers on development:
“Customers know best what they need. That is why we talk less and listen more. We visit them at work, speak with them directly – and in this way we learn what equipment they need. GENERATION 3 delivers exactly what they asked for: reliability, durability, practicality, and an attractive appearance.”

Stefan Kopp – Development Manager:
“Without technology, the world would not look like this. Like experience, technology also evolves on the basis of what is known and proven. State-of-the-art high-strength steels require adapted technologies. Combined with our experience in steel design, GENERATION 3 was created: more powerful, faster, with greater reach – without increasing weight. The hydraulics have been further improved, and numerous sensors now record key data.”

Longest reach in its class

With a reach of almost 11 meters, GENERATION 3 once again pushes the limits. A larger working arc and fewer truck repositionings make work significantly more efficient. The new steel structure ensures a long service life – without increasing weight.

COMFORT DRIVE

The new compact control system delivers maximum ergonomics and minimal effort during longer tasks. The hydraulic control system enables high precision, while the new Grammer seat provides outstanding comfort.

360° LED lighting turns night into day and creates optimal working conditions.

Central lubrication

• Automatic – the oil tank automatically lubricates the main rotating shafts.
• Manual – key points are lubricated from a single location using an oil gun.

Both systems increase efficiency and reduce the need for additional maintenance.

New stabilizers

They enable a width of up to 5.4 m while maintaining compact dimensions in the retracted position. This achieves maximum stability, especially when handling heavy loads with long side reach. Internal hose routing further reduces the risk of damage.

SMART CONTROL

The smart EPSILON system that enables faster and more intuitive operation. Integrated sensors reduce effort, make training new operators easier, and increase safety.

Available for L and Z cranes with the TEC CAB control system and for GENERATION 3 models with a double telescope.
