Palfinger PK 135.002 TEC7 – New Generation of Truck-Mounted Cranes

Palfinger, the world’s leading manufacturer of hydraulic cranes, has introduced the PK 135.002 TEC7 model, bringing a completely new dimension to the heavy crane class. Designed to combine lower weight with top performance, thanks to its innovative P-Profile construction, this crane is approximately 2,000 kg lighter than the PK 150.002 model while delivering up to 35% better results when used with a fly-jib.

What makes the PK 135.002 TEC7 particularly attractive is its versatility. Whether lifting and precisely positioning heavy loads, handling containers, or performing demanding high-altitude installations, the crane performs equally well in all tasks. With the option to mount it on trucks with a gross weight of 32 or 40 tons, it still offers substantial lifting capacity — up to 3,000 kg on a four-axle chassis and around 8,000 kg on a five-axle chassis — all without the need for special transport permits.

The new generation also comes with a range of intelligent Palfinger systems. MEXT enables integrated monitoring of mechanical extensions via sensors, TOOL provides a multifunctional adapter for various attachments, and the WEIGH option allows the operator to measure the lifted load in real time. Additionally, there are proven systems such as P-Fold, which folds and unfolds the crane in a single motion, DPS-C, which significantly increases lifting capacity on the fly-jib, and HPSC-Plus GEOM, which takes stabilizer positions into account, ensuring maximum safety even in challenging conditions.

The PK 135.002 TEC7 had its first official presentation in 2017 at the Transport Swiss fair in Bern and Solutrans in Lyon. Even then, it attracted significant attention from industry professionals and reinforced Palfinger’s reputation as a pioneer of innovation in the world of heavy truck-mounted cranes.
