P-FOLD – folding and unfolding with a single control

PALFINGER has developed the innovative P-FOLD system, an additional feature of the PALcom P7 radio remote control, which allows operators to fold or unfold the crane quickly and easily—with literally a single finger movement.

After activating the P-FOLD function through the PALcom P7 control menu, the operator moves just a single lever, while the intelligent system takes full control of the crane. In this way, the crane is automatically positioned for operation and can be folded from any position once the work is completed.

Advantages of the P-FOLD system:

  • prevention of potential damage to the vehicle and surroundings,
  • faster folding and unfolding compared to standard operation,
  • simple and safe operation.

The P-FOLD function perfectly complements the RTC (Rope Tension Control) system, further enhancing safety and operational efficiency. Since January 2015, P-FOLD has been available for all cranes in the SH series, ranging from PK 42002 SH to PK 200002 L SH, in combination with the latest PALcom P7 radio remote control. This is yet another demonstration of PALFINGER’s continuous innovation in crane technology—making operation simpler, faster, and safer has become the standard.
