The public enterprise “Vojvodinašume,” headquartered in Petrovaradin, is one of the most important public companies in Serbia, employing over 1,400 people. The enterprise consists of four forest management units — “Sremska Mitrovica,” “Banat” Pančevo, “Sombor,” and “Novi Sad” — along with a fifth organizational unit, “Vojvodinašume – Lovoturs” in Petrovaradin.
Their key activities include forest cultivation, protection, and restoration; management of protected natural areas; production of forest seeds and planting material; establishment of new forests and plantations; and the production and processing of timber assortments. JP “Vojvodinašume” manages 16 protected areas covering a total of over 70,000 hectares.
Due to increased workload, JP Vojvodinašume received two Stepa FHL14AK tractor-mounted forestry trailers equipped with Palfinger Epsilon C80L86-F cranes. The cranes, with an 8-meter reach, can lift 910 kg and are fitted with FG27 log grapples with a capacity of 4 tons and 0.27 m³ volume. The cranes feature their own stabilizers (“goose legs”), providing maximum trailer stability regardless of terrain configuration.
The trailers were delivered to the “Sombor” and “Novi Sad” forest management units as part of the modernization of this public enterprise’s machinery.
