Palfinger PK 1650 TEC Crane for Beokran d.o.o.

Palfinger PK 1650 TEC Crane for Beokran d.o.o.

A new Palfinger crane, the PK 1650 TEC, the most advanced model from the new generation TEC series, has been delivered to Beokran d.o.o. of Belgrade, a company specializing in the transport and handling of heavy loads.

This heavy-duty crane is equipped with a G extension and an additional articulated arm PJ240E (fly-jib), increasing its vertical reach to over 35 meters, while the horizontal reach extends up to 21 meters. The maximum lifting capacity of the system is 32,000 kg. Control is based on the advanced PALTRONIC 180 system in combination with the highly precise LX-6 valve, enabling safe and accurate load handling.

The crane is equipped with numerous intelligent functions that increase efficiency, safety, and operational comfort:

  • Memory Position allows for saving and automatically returning the crane to predefined working positions, significantly speeding up preparation for repetitive tasks.
  • Leveling Assistant automatically levels the vehicle using stabilizers, ensuring an optimal working position even on uneven terrain.
  • AOS (Active Oscillation Suppression) reduces load sway during sudden changes in direction, increasing stability and handling safety.
  • SRC (Synchronised Rope Control) maintains a constant distance between the hook and the winch pulley, facilitating precise positioning without the need for manual corrections.
  • RTC (Rope Tension Control) automatically maintains the tension of the winch rope, preventing slack and enabling safe lifting.
  • DPS-C (Dual Power System – Continuous) allows for the use of additional performance beyond the standard lifting diagram, automatically optimizing the crane’s capabilities in real-time.
  • Soft Stop dampens the stopping of the outriggers, reducing shocks and mechanical stress, ensuring quieter and safer operation.
  • Palfinger Connected enables digital monitoring and control of crane operations via an application, providing real-time information on equipment status, maintenance, and efficiency. This platform facilitates fleet tracking and service activity planning, contributing to greater availability and reduced downtime.

The upgrade was performed on a Volvo FH500HP 10×4 Rigid vehicle and includes a TS-5.1 cargo body with a usable length of 5,100 mm, featuring a hydraulically extendable rear section for an additional 1,000 mm. For safe operation in low visibility conditions, the vehicle is additionally equipped with LED floodlights.

Along with the vehicle delivery, professional operator training was conducted, making the complete upgrade immediately ready for operation in the most demanding conditions.
