Palfinger PK 135.002 TEC7 for Autokran

The specialist in transporting and handling heavy loads, Autokran d.o.o., was supplied with the Palfinger “heavy-duty” crane model PK 135.002 TEC 7. This is a Palfinger crane with eight hydraulic extensions with a reach of 19.4 m and an additional hydraulic extension or “fly-jib” PJ190E that extends the vertical reach to 35 m. A combination of a fifth wheel and a removable flatbed body TS-4.5 with a length of 4,500 mm was mounted on the four-axle truck. The truck upgrade is mounted on a Volvo FH 8×4. The crane has a hydraulic folding winch with a pulling force of 3.5 t on the main boom. The crane has a continuous slewing angle like all newer Palfinger crane models.

Comfort features that make the operator’s work easier and faster include HPSC, HPSC Load, P-FOLD, RTC, SRC, WEIGH, AOS, PJMFA.

The HPSC option (High Performance Stability Control) enables crane operation in spaces where it is impossible to fully extend the stabilizers. In this situation, the crane can be operated, but at a reduced capacity that corresponds to the current vehicle stability.

The crane also has the HPSC LOAD system, which uses the load on the truck as a counterweight to stabilize the truck and thereby increase the crane’s reach. The P-FOLD option assists the operator in folding and unfolding the crane using just one button. RTC is automatic control of steel cable tension on the winch during crane operation. The SRC option enables a constant distance between the winch hook and the pulley over which the winch cable is wound. This option primarily increases efficiency during operation because the operator does not have to simultaneously control the winch and crane functions.

The crane has the WEIGH option, which enables display of the weight of the load being handled. In this case, the operator can see from the load diagram how high or far they can go with the load.

The AOS option neutralizes load jerks during sudden changes in crane commands. When the AOS option is active, the crane gradually changes direction during sudden command changes to reduce the risk of sudden direction changes and load swinging. PJMFA is a multifunctional adapter used for simple and quick connection of an additional articulated arm or fly-jib to the crane.
