A new model of Palfinger “heavy-duty” crane PK 135.002 TEC 7 was delivered to Beokran d.o.o., specialists in heavy load transport and handling. This Palfinger crane features eight hydraulic extensions with a reach of 19.4 m and an additional hydraulic extension or “fly-jib” PJ190E, which extends the vertical reach to 35 m. A combination of a fifth wheel and a demountable flatbed TS-4.5, 4,500 mm long, was mounted on the four-axle truck. The truck body was mounted on a Volvo FH500HP 8×4 with a thirteen-liter Euro 6 engine of the latest generation, producing 500 HP. The chassis is double along the entire length of the vehicle and extended forward by 400 mm to accommodate the front crane stabilizer. This vehicle features a lifting truck axle, which is a unique solution in the trucking world. Additionally, all axles have air suspension, and the front axles support 10 t. The truck is equipped with the Volvo Dynamic Steering active steering system.
The crane is equipped with a hydraulic folding winch with a pulling force of 3.5 t on the main boom and continuous slewing angle, as well as all advanced functions of the new generation of Palfinger cranes. It is equipped with HPSC and HPSC Load systems, which enable operation in confined spaces and use the load as an additional stabilizer. It also includes P-FOLD, RTC, SRC, WEIGH, AOS, and PJMFA options that significantly increase safety, efficiency, and operator comfort. All functions are further supported by the ergonomic PALcom P7 radio remote control with a color TFT screen, adapted for operation in all weather conditions.
